This is something we will all face at one time or another. It will be a long time before this is on the family solicitor’s checklist of things to attend to when resolving the estate. How will she handle a bequest of parts of an iTunes collection to various family members?

Similar issues arise for businesses if the person responsible for social dies. The difference in that case is the account must be maintained not memorialised. How much more complicated could it get if the deceased person is an outside resource?

This issue is going to fester for some time.
